AFBR-83EDxxZ

       The Avago AFBR-83EDxxZ is a pluggable 10-channel, parallel optics CXP Active Optical Cable (AOC) for multi-channel 10Gbps proprietary interconnect and 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) applications.

The AFBR-83EDxxZ is designed to operate over multimode fiber systems using a nominal wavelength of 850 nm. The electrical interface uses an 84-contact edge type connector. The AOC incorporates Avago Technologies' proven integrated circuit and VCSEL technology to provide reliable long life, high performance, and consistent service.

The evaluation kit supports the Avago AFBR-8420Z, a 10-channel pluggable, multi-mode parallel optic transceiver module for high-density 100G Ethernet and Optical Transport Network (OTN) applications.

The overall Avago optical transceiver product consists of three sections: the transmitter and receiver optical subassemblies, an electrical subassembly, and the package housing which incorporates a duplex SC connector receptacle.
