The purpose of this evaluation kit is to provide designers with a convenient way to evaluate the electrical and optical performance of Avago 12-channel MiniPOD transmitter and receiver modules. A downloadable user guide is available upon request, which provides full description of the evaluation kit along with basic operating instructions.

The AFBR-800EVB evaluation board is to be used in conjunction with the Avago AFBR-81uVxyZ and AFBR-82uVxyZ family of Tx and Rx MiniPOD modules.

Other products available:

  • AFBR-800RTL: The MiniPOD dust cover opener tool is created to open the dust cover without damage and is easily used by any operator.
  • AFBR-800FTL: The PRIZM Connector Tool is composed of multiple features for the correct removal or extraction of PRIZ connectors used for Avago MINIPOD and MicroPOD products.
  • AFBR-800ETL: The MiniPOD extraction tool is created from readily available standard tweezers.

Features

  • The AFBR-800EVB evaluation board can be used with the following:
    • Avago AFBR-81uVxyZ 12-channel transmitter module
    • Avago AFBR-82uVxyZ 12-channel receiver module
  • Access to low speed signals (i.e., Int_L, Reset_L)
  • 24 side-mounted SMA connectors to connect to 12 differential Tx or Rx high speed lanes
